The design of the Smooth faucet basin mixer is a departure from the traditional complex shapes of faucets. Instead, it embraces a smooth cylindrical form that exudes simplicity and sophistication. The sleek lines of this design become even more impressive when the faucet is in use, as it seamlessly transforms into a user-friendly interface.
The handle, which controls the flow and temperature of the water, is fully concealed within the horizontal cylindrical shape. When the user interacts with the faucet, it splits open like a shell, with the bottom part acting as the spout and the upper part becoming the control handle. This innovative design ensures a pure and soft aesthetic when the faucet is at rest, while providing excellent functionality when needed.
The Smooth faucet basin mixer is made from brass, using a foundry process followed by machining and polishing. The glossy finish is achieved through a chroming process, adding to the overall elegance of the design.
Measuring at W= 32mm, D= 100mm, and H= 120mm, the Smooth faucet basin mixer is compact yet impactful, making it a perfect addition to any modern bathroom.
This design project was a collaboration between Ctesi - Barros & Moreira, S.A., and various entities including Jorge Marques, Prof. Luís Pessanha from ESAD.CR - School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha, and the Design and Trade Departments of Barros & Moreira, S.A.
